Picture Book Read-Alouds
IN-PERSON CLASSROOM VISIT (grades pre-k thru 3, up to 35 students) Includes: *Author introduction and background *story read aloud w/ Q&A *hands-on book-related activity *free teacher handouts *bookmarks for each student Approximately 30-40 minutes
VIRTUAL CLASSROOM VISIT (grades k-3) Includes: *Author introduction and background *story read-aloud w/ Q&A *free teacher handouts *bookmarks for each student (mailed afterward) Approximately 30 minutes
Writing Workshop
Grades 4-12
(Can be adapted for younger students.)
CLASSROOM WRITING WORKSHOP (UP TO 35 STUDENTS) Includes: *Author introduction/background *Introduction to types of book genres *Introduction on writing process (finding inspiration, story structure, outlining, etc) *Chapter read aloud from grade appropriate book *Q&A session *Teacher/Class handouts Approximately 40-50 minutes In-Person Only

Flirting With Death's Grace Workshop THEMES: SUBSTANCE ABUSE/UNHEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS/PEER PRESSURE/ILLNESS AND DEATH (UP TO 35 STUDENTS) This option will focus on the novel Flirting With Death's Grace. It will begin with a discussion of the book which the students must pre-read. Discussion questions will be provided to the teacher ahead of time to allow for any student sensitivities. This will take a full class period to complete. In-Person only
